Story paintings

The human mind is always looking for a story, a narrative that joins disparate things together. In dreaming we find new connections and create a fresh reality.

This series of paintings hint at a narrative that is open to interpretation.

I create work in layers to build up surfaces that are rich and varied, with layers of iridescent paint, collaged tissue paper and glitter that gives them a sense of life and means they change with the light and where we view them from.
