Money Spell Paintings

As part of my journey to reimagine money, I painted these as a spells. I asked myself what would money be like if it was pleasurable and generative? If it was a force for joy?

They aim to alter our relationship with money to one of trust and enjoyment.

I create work in layers to build up surfaces that are rich and varied, with layers of iridescent paint, collaged tissue paper and glitter that gives them a sense of life and means they change with the light and where we view them from.
